Yeovil Judo Kai History
We were founded in 1980 and over the years we have changed our name three times as we moved our Dojo (training hall). We started as the Preston Judo Club, when we practiced in the sports hall at Preston school. Then in 1995 we moved to the social club at Pittards canteen and became the Pittards Judo Club. In 2003 we moved to the fiveways recourse centre on Ilchester rd and changed our name to the Yeovil Judokai (kai means club or society). In September of 2004 we moved to our current training hall the Holy Trinity Scout Hall on Lysander Road.Over the years we have had many members, a few who have won medals in national and international Championships, and many who are happy to practice once a week with friends. It is our aim to provide Judo training for all our members no matter how big or small their aims.
