I first started Judo when i was 7 years old, and it turns out it was with this club under the teaching of Sensei Phillip Billing,

I trained for about a year but then gave up.

Fast forward almost 20 years to 2001 and after a spell of training in other martial arts i felt Judo may offer the kind of training i was looking for so i joined the Pittards Judo Club aged 26 under Sensei Andy Jones.

as i thought the training was exactly what i was after and couldn't get enough of it.

I gained my first Dan Black Belt in 2004 at the Kan Geiko Winter Training Course which was presented by Sensei Akinori Hosaka. In 2006 at the St. Ives course i gained my 2nd Dan which was presented by the President Sensei Robin Otani which is my current grade.
