Yeovil Judo Kai

We were founded in 1980 and over the years we have changed our name three times as we moved our Dojo (training hall). We started as the Preston Judo Club, when we practiced in the sports hall at Preston school. Then in 1995 we moved to the social club at Pittards canteen and became the Pittards Judo Club. In 2003 we moved to the fiveways recourse centre on Ilchester rd and changed our name to the Yeovil Judokai (kai means club or society). In September of 2004 we moved to our current training hall the Holy Trinity Scout Hall on Lysander Road.
Over the years we have had many members, a few who have won medals in national and international Championships, and many who are happy to practice once a week with friends. It is our aim to provide Judo training for all our members no matter how big or small their aims.

The 19th annual winter training course

The Somerset area BJC will be holding its major weekend training course for the year on the 28th and 29th of January at New venue for the Somerset winter course.

All Saints Terrace, Bridgewater TA6 5JQ. Guest Instructor Paul Laskey 6th Dan, other Instructors to be confirmed, Book early to avoid disappointment.

This Course which includes a grading on Sunday for all contest grades (Green Belt and above) its usually well attended please try to attend if you can.
